March 14

Yesterday I read this article at MSNBC. It's a great article about how you don't have to spend a lot of money to be romantic or to show someone that you love them and that it's all about the moments.

S and I will not be able to spend this Valentine's day together. At first I was pretty disappointed but I am OK with it now. I keep reminding myself that I will be there in just a month and we will no longer have 125 miles between us. When I used to dream about moving out of KC I always thought that I would be sad and that it would be hard. I know I am suppose to be moving next month because I don't ever remember a time when I was so excited about the future. I feel like I am getting a whole new start on life....new car, new home, new job and the best part...being with S.

It was six months ago that S and I first met. After just six months I can't imagine my life without her. She is the best of the best.

Today while we were talking S and I decided to celebrate Valentine's day the day after I move...March 14. I think it would be cool if this became a tradition to us.

I know you, girl! You're getting it all set up for a WHOLE MONTH of celebration, like you do for your birthday!!! You can't pull the wool over this ol' lady's eyes!!

Love the picture. I agree with Lynilu- I think you are finding a way to have to celebrate Valentine's for an extended period of time.

That is right, make your own traditions and rules as you go!

Kirk hates "boxed-in" holidays and has kinda taught me to think out of the box! He will not celebrate Valentine's day on 2/14. But he will celebrate it on a random "wednesday" or a random "friday" when it is convenient for us! That way we don't have to sit in a crowded restaurant. We celebrate it sometime close to 2/14 but in our schedule and on our terms! He will also claim that for a person to exclaim their love on only 1 day a year. . .well need I say more!
