Thankful

This blog has always been a safe place for me. I started it because I needed to get out the feelings I was having in regards to my religion Jehovah's Witness as well as being disowned from my entire family. Not just a few distant family members that don't want to talk to me because I am gay, but my entire family. Not one person that I consider family talks with me. I needed a place that I could take my thoughts and get them out.

In the process of getting all my feelings out I have met and made numerous people that I now consider friends. I never, in my wildest dreams, thought I would have such loyal readers and so many people that are there to support me no matter what. Everyday I am thankful for all that support, advice and encouragement you have given me.

This is my space and I will not tolerate any comments that are negative towards me or my family. It is all very simple:

I-WILL-NOT-T-O-L-E-R-A-T-E.

End of discussion.

You go girl. Screw what everyone else thinks, just live your life to the fullest. They are just ignorant people that dont know us (you). And they think they are better than us, but they really are not.

Want to hear a funny story since you're having a bad day? The other day I was in my kitchen (in the back of the house) making lunch for me and the kids. I walked toward the front of the house so I could open the front door and let the light in through the storm door. I was holding my sandwich and half paying attention to what I was doing and as soon as I open the door I see two men standing on my porch. Well, they caught me by such surprise (I guess they knocked and I didn't hear it while I was in the kitchen) that I was totally freaked out. I said "JESUS! YOU SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME!" I didn't say it like I was mad at them, I just said it because I seriously did not expect to see them. It turns out they were jehovahs witness. And I screamed "jesus" and cursed at them. So for sure, I will probably burn in hell.

I thought of you immediately after this and thought you might appreciate the story. I did feel bad for that outburst though and let them read to me from the bible instead of telling them that I'm a lesbian ;-)
