Ben & The Christmas Tree

As you can see I am not the only one excited it's Christmas.

Here is a picture from 2004 when I put up my first tree:
It's good to know that some things never change.

Susan and I had planned on not seeing each other this weekend, but it looks like there is a small chance that we might be able to spend a little bit of time together. I really hope I get to see her.

I have a masters degree and have been told that I am smart, but I can't seem to be able to put together the two outdoor spiral trees I bought yesterday. I am thinking of taking it to work and having the maintenance guy help me put it together. I know....very sad.

One of my co-workers told me today that I should not let anyone talk me out of my holiday spirit. She said watching me get so excited about the holidays makes her stop and think about her own attitude about the holidays. I thought that was a hue compliment.

So, tell me what your plans are for the weekend......

Don't feel bad about not being able to put together the spiral trees. Tasks like that take spatial relations skills, which are drastically different from the kind of skills you used to get your degree.

As for the weekend, we'll be spending a tomorrow afternoon and evening with a couple who are good friends. Sunday will be spent at Meeting (Quaker church) and getting ready for our slightly crazed Thanksgiving. We're hosting 9, maybe 10, members of my family. That's not the crazed part. The crazed part is that we're doing this at a hotel 160 miles away. And we're doing the cooking (suite with full kitchen).

Hope you get to see your girl this weekend!

Ohhh, that reminds me that China always loved to get under the Christmas tree and nestle. :')

I'm glad you're having an upsurge of holiday spirit. Keep it up!

Cowboy's going to have family here for Thanksgiving dinner--I encouraged it and will love fixing it for all of them.

Oh man, I can't put together ANYTHING. LOL. Today we are cleaning, decluttering and getting things together to donate to the salvation army. And then once everything is clean- we're putting up our sad little 4ft christmas trees!

Hopefully I will get outside and take some pics for you. My mom is in the hospital and we are snowed in with a headache.

What is it about cats and Christmas trees? LOL I don't know anyone who has an inside cat that the cat doesn't love laying under the tree. So cute!
