Easter

Not too surprising, but the Easter bunny brought me 2 new pair of Crocs. When Lynilu was visiting we went to two different Dicks Sporting Goods looking for a pair. The first place didn't have the pair I wanted so we decided the next day to go to another store. The kid at the second place was so rude to me and acted like I was crazy for wanting a pair of the shoes that no one wants and he pointed out how they can't even get the ones they have to sell. I know there are many people out there that hate Crocs, but I personally love them. They are comfortable to me since I am on my feet almost all day. I have found either you love Crocs or you hate them. When we left the second Dicks the kid told me he would call a couple other stores and let me know when he found a pair. Four hours later I still had not heard from him. Because he was so rude to me in the beginning I called back and spoke with the store manager. He apologized and said he would do some checking and call me right back. Within 5 minutes he called back and said they had 20 pairs in the back. I was upset because I had asked the kid if they had any in the back and he said No. And this store is not exactly close to my house. So when I went and picked them up on Friday I was happy to see the manager gave me 20% off. So that is the story of how the Easter bunny brought me 2 pairs of Crocs.

My other gift was a new comforter. I wanted to take a picture, but Ben is sound asleep on the bed and I didn't want to move him. I have bee sleeping with my sleeping bag as my comforter for the past two months. When Ben was having accidents on the bed I took the comforter off and used the sleeping bag. He stopped having accidents so I knew I could not put the comforter back on. And I probably would have used the sleeping bag for much longer if it hadn't been for the extra money that came in this past week. My bed finally looks like a bed again and I am thrilled with my choice of new comforter.

Well, it's back to work tomorrow. My stomach is still pretty sensitive and I think I over did it today. I need to remember that just because something sounds good does not mean my stomach is ready for it. And I am still so tired. I laid down this afternoon expecting to nap for just an hour or so and I slept for 4 hours.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.

I know some people don't like those shoes but WOW. That is beyond dislike over a pair of shoes. Congrats on the discount!!

Awww, good news, good news, and good news!!

Good for that manager! Isn't it nice to know that some people still have integrity?

I'm glad you got the bedspread and that Ben approves!!

And most of all, I'm glad you are feeling better. But remember that if you start feeling tired, go home. Don't push this and make yourself overly tired or you might be sick again. My cousin did that, and the second time she was off almost a month!!

audra--i know my crocs probably look stupid, but they are so comfy.

eye--me too. i love how easy it is to clean them, etc

lynilu--i was very surprised to see the manager gave me a discount. they said it was b/c i came from "out of town". i guess you could consider leawood being out of town compared to where i live. i plan on taking it easy tomorrow and coming home if i feel sick.

Oh, you poor girl! I feel terrible that you were so sick! We had an awful stomach thing a couple months ago and it wiped me out. Being sick by yourself is tough. I'm so glad you have so many good friends checking on you and bringing you stuff.

Also, I'm glad the Easter bunny was good to you! I expect pictures of both of those pairs of crocs as well as the comforter. The Easter bunny didn't bring me a thing, and I am pretty bitter about it.

Happy Easter!

I bought my first pair of crocs (mary janes!) in Jax a few weeks ag. I do like them and they are comfortable - Victor bought a pair as well. We might not be ready for lime green ones, but we do like them.

Happy Easter Caroline! Most people that I know who have professed to Croc haters end up loving them if they try them! What size sho do you wear?

P.S. Good for the manager also, that kid was a first class doo doo head (see! i can excercise self control. I didn't call him an asshole!)

Happy Easter to you too! Your Easter Bunny was so kind to you. Enjoy!

I personally love Crocs! Actually, we buy the knock off brand (Airwalks) and prefer those. The kids really like them too!

Ha, the dreaded "can't make the bed, change the sheets, do the laundry, etc. because a cute kitty is sleeping there right now." Yup!!

I received my first pair of Crocs last Mothers Day and love them...then for Christmas I received a pair of Winter Crocs, only difference is they are lined with a soft fabric that snaps out for washing. So convenient for going from the house to the car and back again. I love something I can just slip on. Glad you are feeling better...take care.

BTW Im over 70....is that too old for Crocs? LOL
