My Weekend

It's been a very productive weekend. I got a lot of packing done and boy do I feel better. I have most of the kitchen packed up, which means I will be dining with paper plates for a couple weeks. I can't believe that I will be moving again in a little over two weeks. I think the pets are beginning to realize that something is up. Everytime I go downstairs to get another box, Ben goes running like I am going to pack him in a box. Poor thing.

One of the things that upset me so much last week was I got a letter from the city. There is one very small part on the front of my house where the wood is rotten and the paint has started to chip. Really, it's not that big of a deal, but I guess to the city it is. I know for certain one of my neighbors turned me into the city. What I don't understand is, there are houses all around me that are literally falling apart, but the city is worried about this one little board. It just doesn't make sense. I wonder if the neighbor that turned me in would want the city knowing that he is running a used car lot from his house? Yea, I think that violates a few codes.

Here are some pictures I took of Ben this weekend. I think he is tired of me taking his pictures.

Have a great week everyone.

eye of the rainbow--the only thing getting me through my mondays is knowing that in three weeks i will have a 5 day weekend. Yay. have a great week too

julie--oh i am going to let the city know of his little business, but i am going to wait until i move. i am afraid of what he will do if i do it before he moves

lynilu--everytime i turn on the camera sophie goes running. ben hasn't figured that out yet, but putting his paw to the lense is a new thing...actually, i think he was reaching for the lense cover....

Heck, I eat off paper most of the time, I'm too lazy to deal with dishes.

Happy Monday! There seems to be lots of "clearing and packing and moving" going on in my blogging community these days. I suppose forward motion is what it's all about.

Ben looks just like my Spooky & Sneaky! Be glad you are moving away from said "neighbors".

katie--would you believe that i really don't mind doing dishes. i haven't had a dishwasher for like 3 months...

jane--that is a good way to put it...moving forward and moving on to better things...thanks for that insight

sandra--oh, i will be turning him in..i think he is the guy that put antifreeze in my stray cats food. he claims to be a "christian", but i have only seen the non-christian side of him...he is a true ass

patti--moving from my neighbors is the one thing i won't miss from my house...i am tired of living across the street from a used car lot...

OMG, how did you discover the antifreeze? What a terrible thing for someone to do. Yes, it will be a good thing when you get moved away from such hateful people.

beck--last fall my neighbor put antifreeze in the bowl i would set out for the stray cats...i know it was him cause he was just complaining about them...luckily none of the cats ate from it...he doesn't realize they are smarter then him..i can't wait to get away from him..i just don't trust him anymore.

Ben looks so much like Sassy in that first picture.

So what does the city want you to do, repaint?

Caroline said...

sassy--yes it does need to be repainted, but first that one board needs to be replaced.
