She Drives Me Crazy

I took this video this morning to show you Sophie's morning routine. Even though it drives me crazy on some mornings, I know I will miss it when we move. Have I told you lately how much I completely adore Sophie? (If you listen very carefully you can hear Ben saying HI to you guys at the very end)

Well, the doctor really doesn't know what is going on with my stomach. She thought it was a combination of a couple things: stress, IBS and not getting enough fiber. She also thought that maybe I was lactose intolerant. I have never liked milk and just the smell makes me sick to my stomach, so I guess it could be this as well. So for now I am going to take some fiber, make sure I am eating better and pay closer attention to what I am eating when my stomach starts cramping.

I also talked to her about the stress in my life and the depression I have been experiencing. She gave me some samples for Effexor and wants to see me in 3 weeks. I already feel a little better that I finally have something to help me find some clarity.

My weight was not as bad as I thought. I have gained about 10 pounds in the last seven months. I was really thinking it was a lot more. My blood pressure was perfect: 118/80. So, all in all it was a good visit and I am glad I finally made the appointment.

I will post part IV tomorrow. When I first decided to write about the truth, I was doing it for myself. What I have found is by me being more honest and sharing what I have been through I am helping so many others. I have received several emails from people thanking me for sharing and that they now had the courage to share with someone else what they have been through. Knowing that has made all of this worth it.

Good! I hope this is the right one for you and you are able to get your body calmed down. I really think stress if a huge, big element in your health. And god knows you've had enough stress for a dozen people!!

Hugs, sweetie!

First of all: VIDEO WAS PRECIOUS! Oh my sweet LORD your dog is the cutest little fattest thing!!! I LOVE HER!

Ok. Important stuff here: NO EFFEXOR! Let me explain. I am totally 100% for all natural. I was on ativan for my anxiety for over 8 yrs. I have weaned off of it, but I did experiment with every single antidepressant there is. Each one gave me more bad side effects than it did help me.

First of all - regardless of what they say - they are ALL addicting. Why? Because if you stop abruptly, you can get the Steven Johnson's disease with some of them (which eats away your skin), you can get MAJOR withdrawals such as convulsing and weird shakiness... I have experienced all of this - including a lack in your sex drive. People who are trying to be celibate take them to stop the 'cravings'. Seriously.

In my own personal opinion, and please just hear me out - why do you think there are so many whacked out kids shooting one another in schools and weird things happening? I really believe it's the cause of these antidepressants - they make you worse.

Go to one of your homeopathic stores and pick up this tea that reduces stress and depression. Seek out natural alternatives like exercising, eating more fiber, staying away from alcohol and increasing your fruit intake. These all helped with my stomach problems as well as anxiety and depression.

Sorry to ramble on - but I am totally against meds. I know that Effexor is one of the "better" ones, but...if you can...go natural.

My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Thank you for making me giggle with this precious video. I love your pup!

P.S. A regular meditation hour is great in the a.m. and also, try yoga! Just a thought!

Glad you got in to see the dr. Hope that the Effexor helps.

Lactaid pills do wonders for me when it comes to dairy. Did your dr. suggest you try them for things that have dairy in them?

Aww I wish I could see the video. Stacy takes Effexor but I think the doc is about to wean him off of it as he went on it when his Dad was diagnosed as terminally ill. Best of luck to you honey and you will be great in that new place!
