Wednesday

Here is a pic of one of my worry stones. This is the one I have set out for the boys, Brady and Astro.

I have been talking with a guy that put an ad on Craigslist wanting "A big fat lazy cat to share the couch with". I emailed him and told him I had the perfect cat for him, Astro. Astro loves laying on the couch and I sent the guy a picture of Astro laying on the couch with all 4 in the air. After seeing the picture, the guy arranged with me to come meet Astro tomorrow night. I pray that it all works out. And if it doesn't work out with this person, then I know somehow it will all work out. I am kind of hoping that when he comes to the house he will meet Brady and want him too. Brady is one of the friendliest cats. He greets everyone that comes into the house and isn't afraid to show love.

Tonight Laura is coming by the house to get rest of her stuff. I put all her stuff in one area, so she shouldn't be at the house that long. One thing that really annoys me about Laura is the fact that she hides from Sharon the fact that she talks to me. She will only call me when Sharon is not around. When Laura and I talked on Monday I told her that the fact that she was hiding me from Sharon really annoyed me. I asked her what she was hiding because there isn't anything on this end. Again she said nothing. I can't be friends with her if she is not willing to be honest with Sharon. I wonder if Laura is able to be honest about anything anymore. It seems that not telling the truth, or avoiding the truth has become so much easier for her. Makes me sad for her sake.

There is something going around work that involves going to the bathroom, A LOT. I have already spent most of my work day in the bathroom. Ugh, I hate this.

I hope the guy is really nice and does fall in love with both of your boys! Surely he would find it hard to separate them. Yep - lay on that guilt trip. :)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the boys to both go with the guy. I'd feel SO much better. Once he sees Brady ... well, how could anyone resist that lovable ol' thing???

As for Laura ... and I'm working on being nice ... I'm thinking of all the people she has be less than honest with ... you, me, her parents, and on and on. Many little things, many withheld (another form of lying), and many big things (to avoid taking responsibility) and often simply to save her own neck, but it all adds up. I'm guessing it is all a way of life now. I'm glad you're out of that. You are such an honest person (well, most of the time!!) that it would have worn you down eventually. Well, life is full of learning experiences, isn't it?

Got my fingers crossed about the kitty boys. I can only imagine how torn and guilty you feel but you are doing what you have to. I just hope you have a good feeling about the guy.
About Laura, that makes me sad for you because you hoped to be friends but maybe you're better off. It seems she takes the easiest way out for Laura and everyone else be damned. Sharon deserves her because they both sound deceitful from what I know.
Hope your tummy troubles get under contrl. I so hate that!

I hope this guy does take both Astro and Brady! How could he not fall in love with both!!?

I think it says something when you say outloud (or write) how much you've realized about Laura and her dishonesty. You really have come a long way in this break up and you've shown so much more strength than I think you knew you had. She does have these things, these issues that she is facing and she seems unhappy and is being dishonest with people around her.
I'm very happy for you that you see it and are beyond it.

Sending good kitty vibes!!! And I agree with lynilu...lying does become a way of life after awhile. You are growing stronger every day. It's good to watch you figure it out.

Remind him that having two cats takes some of the pressure off of him to be the cat's only buddy. I recently lost my 17 year old cat to cancer, and I sense it is now time to bring in another for my lonely girl cat who used to have a companion. (ie, she's now bugging the crap out of me when I'm home!)
