Just because I am a social worker it does not mean that I know how to solve all my own problems.
Just because I am a social worker it does not mean that I don't need someone to talk to now and then.
Just because I am a social worker it does mean that I am always strong and confident in what I do.
Just because I am a social worker it does mean that I always know what to say to you to help you with your problems.
Just wanted to let you know that just like you, I am only human.

Yup, yup yup...If we S.W.'s could do all of that we would all be running the world, rich and always happy. What the heck is wrong with us? Thanks for the compliment about animal advocacy. I am choosing to look at it this way, Ohio is gaining one.
Bravo for Astro and cheers to you for making sure Brady will have a home. I know that you struggled with being a person who had to rehome your pets. Sometimes there are no other options. Don't beat yourself up - Astro seems happy, that's wonderful! I hope that Brady either stays with you, or finds the same happiness that Astro did. I return to KC one last time next Thursday and we all pull out for Ohio on Tuesday morning. All 4 kitties go to KC Cat clinic for a wellness check on Friday and will also be evaluated for drugs for the long drive. I will miss KC so much. We had a little farewell Wayside party last week while I was home. I bawled like a baby. I will do the same when we leave. Maybe when you get settled you can volunteer at WW and take my place. It really does a lot for your soul and takes your mind off of your own worries and problems!

parkers mommy--thank you so much about what you said about rehoming astro. i have been beating myself up and feeling really bad about it. if there was any way i could keep him, i would have.
eye--i think it's amazing at some people that expect me to be perfect just because i am a social worker. thanks for the reminder to keep my chin up.
Anyone who is making you feel like you need to defend yourself needs to examine there own life first!!
Trust me none of us is perfect no matter how much we try to pretend we are!!!
