Our household is a divided household. Laura graduated from the University of Missouri and I got my Masters degree from the University of Kansas. Most days there is no problem with this, but then other days (like March Madness) it can cause a lot of tension in our home. Because I am such a good Jayhawk I have a stuffed Jayhawk that plays the schools song. Laura calls herself a fan of MU, but there is only one MU item in our house and she got it from Lynilu. So, you all be the judge on how much of a fan she is of her own college.
Last night Laura walked upstairs and said, "Oh my we have a problem up here". I walked up and found the following in Sophie-dogs room.
This was exactly how I found my beloved Jayhawk. Notice the pieces of fur above the Jayhawk. See the battery pulled out of the back. And the fact that he was face down was just an insult.
Notice more of the fur on the carpet? The guy is in bad shape. I can't get the battery back in, but it still works so that is the important thing, right?
Here is Sophie trying to get my Jayhawk again. Damn dog. Laura says Sophie is doing this because she is an MU fan. I personally think Sophie just got bored and she thought Santa had left her another present.
P.S. Should I be concerened that when I did the spellcheck "Jayhawk" came up mispelled? The options for the word were khaki, kayak and hawk.

LOL!!!!
I'm so sorry for your loss.
:)
OH, NO!!! Sophie has gone to the dark side!! I was concerned when Laura began to do some obedience training and teach Sohpie who was the Alpha Dog in the house, that she might just be poisoning her mind. Now I know it. And are you sure that Laura didn't actually GIVE the Jayhawk to Sophie? Be vewy, vewy careful, Cawoline.
If he's not dead, he's been seriously maimed. Poor thing!
Could it be Sophie was just over excitedly showing her love for the Jayhawk?
casey--glad you got a good laugh
lynilu--as a fellow jayhawk i knew you would be just as upset as i was
tammy--luckily he's not dead, but will never be the same
sassy--maybe you are right. very good point
Poor Jayhawk, sorry for your loss. I don't think Sophie had dark intent, I really don't. She just has too sweet a face for that!
patti--you're right. sophie is way too sweet to do any harm to the jayhawk. it was probably mistaken identity. she msut have thought it was a tiger.
Such graphic crime scene photos, you should have warned us.
