Sophie and I met a new friend today...

She is really loving all the time we have been able to spend outside. Even in the middle of the day it's seems quiet. On my second night here I was walking Sophie and looked up and was shocked at how many stars I could see. One funny thing...I went to Taco Bell yesterday (thanks to Redfrog) and noticed they close at 9:30 on Saturday nights. The Taco Bell's in KC would stay open until 3am. Thankfully I have never had a craving for a Burrito Supreme at 2am.
Today I went for my physical and drug screen for my new job. I was excited because my blood pressure was perfect at 118/80. I am all ready to go for Thursday morning. I am looking forward to getting back to a routine. I love having a few days off, but I think I just do better when I have more structure in the day.
So..tell me something good that happened to you today.........

Good luck with the new job!!
ummm oh I know we got a notice that our house payment is going down while Mike is off work. Yaaaaaayy. And for the second day in a row its been 60 degrees although I am still stuck on the loveseat. Again your welcome for the taco bell cravings
Small town life is so different! Fun, nice, agreeable, but different. You'll enjoy the adjustment, I think.
I'm glad you are looking forward to the job. A change once in a while does a person good.
Something good today? I've had a good day. Got some cleaning, brushed the dogs, and when I sat down to watch Ellen, all five of them pounced on me and curled up on the couch! I'm easy to please! :D
Small town life does have it's own charm I admit!
Yeah, when we were driving through Kansas to Arizona a couple Christmases ago, I was amazed that when we got settled into the hotel around 9, all but one of the fast-food restaurants in town were closed. Bad hotel + crabby children + limited food options = crappy, crappy night.
My step-dad is from a smaller town north of the city, and it seems fairly normal there to eat very early -- like 4:30 or 5. We do that now just because of the kids, but it was hard to get used to when we didn't have them. :)
Now I'm craving Taco Bell.
