6 Degrees.....Brrrr!

When I went to the grocery store yesterday morning it was 59 degrees and by 2pm the temperature started to drop and right now it's 6 degrees. 6 degrees. That is cold. Everyone knows how much I love the cold weather, but having the high of the day in single digits....that is even a little too cold for me. This morning when I was walking Sophie she all of a sudden stopped and started limping. I thought she had maybe stepped on something, but I think her paws were just too cold. I think I am going to look for some booties for her since we will be doing a lot of walking this winter. Once we got back to the house she immediately ran inside and jumped on the bed. I really wished I could have crawled back in bed also.

Yesterday evening we got some freezing rain/sleet and it made looking outside at my decorations kind of pretty. We are suppose to get some snow tomorrow and that makes me happy. I have decided that I don't want any snow on the weekends because if it snows then I most likely would not be able to see S.

Speaking of S....it is amazing how I continue to fall more in love with her. She tells me everyday how she wishes we lived closer and how we will have to do something about this distance between us this summer. I agree completely. Even if we don't' move in with each other, we need to live closer to each other. I can't wait until her face is the last thing I see before I go to sleep and the first thing I see every morning.

Hope everyone has a great Monday and stays warm.

Poor Sophie's paws! I can't wait to see how she does with booties!

Do you remember that Mai Lin, Ali and China used to love to go play in the snow, but sometimes would stay too long when it was super cold, and I would have to go pick them up and bring them up? It does get c.o.l.d.

lynilu--when sophie started limping i was wishing she was small enough so i could just pick her up. as you know, she is a tad on the heavy side. (grin)

Caroline, my dear internet friend please please please keep that cold air there pretty please. You see that damn evil lake known as Lake Erie is still open 6 degree air temp over a 40 degree lake would mean several feet of snow for us. So please please keep it there. Thank you

Sophie? Heavy? Surely you jest!! And, BTW, for the price of a small bribe I won't tell her what you said!!

I read something yesterday but I don't remember who wrote it: "Some people like snow, I find it to be the unnecessary freezing of water."

lynilu--i think i can handle that. :)

julie--you do have to agree that snow is so much prettier then just plain rain.
