Window

I am on day 4 of being sick and I feel only slightly better. I don't think I have as much head congestion, but I am still pretty congested in my chest. I am starting to cough and this stuff that I am coughing up is nasty. Every time I cough I am reminded why smoking is sooo bad for me. Again, I think this cold/cough is a blessing from God because I really see what I have been doing to my body.

A few weeks ago I was at MJ's house and she had a painted window in her living room. I feel in love with it and asked if she would make me one. Here is the one she made for me:
My kitchen has no window and is kind of dark, so I thought this would brighten up the room a little. Don't you just love the dragonflies?

I got some excellent advice today. I was asked why I why I would read blogs from people that I do not like. So I took this advice to heart and have decided to only read the blogs of people that I would want as friends in real life. I think it's important to remember (this goes for me as well) that blogs are just a small part of who someone is and if you don't like what you are reading, then why waste any time continuing to read.

Thew window is spectacular and about the blog thing...I do that. I onloy read blogs that I really enjoy. If I find myself rolling my eyes too much, I stop reading. It's a good way to live life - if something fits, enjoy it. If it doesn't, let it go.

That said, I hope my blog isn't one you're ditching. :)

What a brilliant craft idea, she could sell those! Where does she find the old windows?

Yeah! What you said!!! Don't waste time of what doesn't fit in your life. You'll be healthier and happier for it. :)

I like the window!! Very homesy-chic!

That window is terrific and she should definitely sell them!

I of course had to check out your sidebar to see if I made the cut! ;) There was a blog I was reading a month or so ago, and I really wanted to care about the person's life and problems, but I found myself so annoyed by the way the author came across that I had to stop reading. No point in sending my negative vibes out into the universe. That is very good advice.

audra--i am so glad that i have friends that are creative, because i have very limited creative skills.

casey--oh, no...your blog would never be one that i was ditching. i love reading about your adorable little family

sandra--i keep telling her she should sell them. she found the old windows on the side of the road...I think. she has one for each season and they are all so cool

lynilu--i already feel better having got rid of some negative energy

fern--of course i still read your blog. you have an awesome way of writing (and making it funny) about your days that are filled with dirty diapers and vomit. :)

I'm so glad you like the window--I hoping you feel better soon, but I'm also glad you had a reminder of your smoking ways.

Being new to the bloggin world, I get what you mean about negative blogs...there are better ways to spend your time.

I love that! Will she make me one too? Ask her if she sells to ppl outside of your state!
Glad you are feeling better.
I learned that lesson too during the last election, and it is the reason I waited so long to have my own blog. I didnt want comments from asshats.
