Fun Night

Thank you so much for your input on my last post. I decided to say what I want on my blog and if someone is upset at it, then I can't worry about it. My blog-My space. End of discussion. I will probably do a post tomorrow night about what I have been thinking about.

I went out after work with my boss and a co-worker. My co-worker works on the weekends at the best Mexican restaurant in KC and with her discount it's super cheap. It's been a long week at work, so tonight was just what we all needed. But I did learn some interesting things tonight.

~Apparently I am not a "typical" lesbian. I guess all the lesbians that my boss and co-worker know are real superficial and into themselves. I guess I am glad they don't consider me a typical lesbian.

~Food always tastes better when it's almost free.

~When your medication says "Alcohol may intensify affect"; believe it. I had ONE Corona and felt like I had 3. I am not a huge drinker, but it even surprised me that just one made my head spin. My boss and co-worker were laughing at me. I am glad I was able to provide them some entertainment tonight.

~Everyone at work has picked up on how I remember dates. They laughed when I told a story and gave the date and they said they don't know anyone that remembers dates as well as I do.

~All 3 of us want kids one day and we decided that we should try to get pregnant around the same time. They both agree I could do it on my own and they would help. Um...we'll see about that.

~My co-worker talks really fast when she drinks.

It was a good night and love that my boss,co-worker and I can hang out when we are not at work. All the managers are getting together next Friday night for a birthday celebration. If I drink maybe I should plan on having one of them drive me home.

Well, I am going to watch Oprah. I can't wait to see the Pregnant Father and what he has to say. I find this story so fascinating.

A lot of the lesbians i have encountered in real life are sadly like that.

I missed the pregnant guy! I wanted to see that so badly.

katie--i forgot to mention that my boss picked up the whole tab. free food is so much better then almost free food. :)

audra--it really was a good show..maybe you can catch it on a rerun or on the internet

jaded mama--i was so confused about it before seeing the show, but now it makes sense. i really understood when thomas said, "i have the right to have a biological child".

I wish I would have been able to watch Oprah. I find it fascinating also. People are all over the place about it and many are quick to say "he's not a pregnant man he's a frustrated lesbian" etc.

I say "Relax. Live and Let Live". They are a couple, they love each other and they want a baby. End of story.
P.S. I really thought when I heard you at the beginning of the message you were going to fuss at me for being mean. I was on a tear yesterday but I meant what I said and you know I did. You know I get very protective of you when it comes to Laura for some reason. So glad you had a fun evening out. You deserve it!!!

I don't think I know what a typical lesbian is. Of all that I know both in my area and around the country, we're all pretty diverse.
