Home

I have the best blogger friends. Sandra was so nice and sent me an email with this picture. I love it. Thank you so much Sandra. And you are right....Home is where the Dog is.

We are all moved in except for a few things still at the house. I think I can get everything else in one trip. Sophie is doing good in adjusting to apartment life. She isn't sure what all these other noises are and barks at everyone that walks by. She is currently passed out on the couch next to me. It's been a long day for her.

Bonk really has no fear. As soon as I opened the kennel she walked out like we have always lived here. Gotta love that cat.

I have not seen Ben since this morning. I expect him to come out later tonight when it's really quiet. Luckily my place is not big enough for him to get lost.

I took pictures of the move, but I am too tired to upload them tonight. I am exhausted and probably won't be awake much longer.

I met the person that lives right next to me. I was outside waiting for Time Warner and this older gentleman came up and asked if I was waiting for Time Warner. His name is Paul and he has lived here for 6 1/2 years. The first thing I noticed about his was his English Accent. He seems really nice and it's good to know that I have someone quiet next to me.

Well, I am going to fix some dinner. I haven't eaten anything since 6am and I am starving. But as you can see, blogging was my priority.

Have a great Saturday.

Aww, that's cool of Sandra to do that, and yes, it's not home without the dog.

Glad you're IN. Look forward to the pictures so I know what the pups and I are in for!!

:D

I am so glad that you are there and are settling in. Hope your first meal there is great! And thank goodness for a nice quiet neighbor! That can make all the difference in a small apartment.

Congrats on getting moved! May your new home bring you peace and joy beyond measure.

And I love, love, love the picture.

PS...D and I lived in 850 sq feet with two large dogs and 5 cats. It was cozy but oh so nice! We even brought the boy home to live there for a few weeks before we moved into the house we are in now. I still miss our little house. :)

eye of the rainbow--i was also very happy that everything went well today...but after this past year i have good practice at moving

audra--so far it seems fairly quiet. there are people above me and every so often i can hear them, but it's not that bad..

casey--i was so surprised when sandra sent me this picture. i am going to print out a copy and frame it...wow...5 cats and 2 dogs in 500 feet. you know...actually my place does not feel that small...i am pleasantly surprised

My place is relatively small and I love it. I like the idea of not owning a bunch of crap because I wouldn't have somewhere to put it anyway. I would rather extra money go towards travel - and the cats don't seem to care either...they always just want to be in whatever room I am in.

Other than cleaning at the old place now the fun part can begin! Decorating the new place and making it truly feel like HOME.

Hope Sophie doesn't bark at sounds for too long. And that neighbor sounds perfect.

julie--the pets seem to like it here because no matter where i go they can see me. and it was kind of cleansing to get rid of all the junk i had.

sandra--i am so excited to start decorating. sophie is doing a lot better. i am actually able to leave her in the apartment and she doesn't bark. i am going to the grocery store this morning, so this will be a huge test for her.

I am so excited for you! When I was in a tumultuous period in my life (many years of it, in my case) I moved every year or more often, and it was always very theraputic for me. Something about finding new places for all my things, and keeping super-busy for a few weeks with unpacking and rearranging. I hope it is as comforting and exciting for you. It's a fresh start. And I also loved the coziness of my tiny apartments -- my cats were always within eyeshot, and I loved that. I hope your place feels really nice and homey and warm to you. Welcome home!
