This is the huge T-Rex in front of the restaurant T-Rex. It is owned by the same people that own The Rainforest Cafe. We didn't eat here, but were loving the outside decor. The little kid in Laura was asking when we could go to T-Rex.
Just a shot of the shopping area. We are experiencing very warm weather (for now at least) and it was fun walking around and looking at the stores.
My new favorite picture of Laura. And to think she thought about cutting her hair. Crazy girl.
This is now officially my "before" picture. I can't wait to see the change in my in one or two months.
Inside Dave and Busters. This is the play area. It had the same feeling as a casino. I kept thinking how much money can I waste away.
I played one game and it was where you get on a Harley Davidson. I learned a very important lesson: I don't ride motorcycles very well. In fact, I hit several cars and people as I was trying to ride. It was not good. And I am pretty sure there are a couple warrants out for my arrest due to my driving.
This picture is for PattiCake. It's a picture of The Kansas Speedway. I know how much she likes Nascar and I thought of her as we sat outside watching the sun go down looking at the race track.
Tonight we are expecting a major snow storm to move in. Starting tomorrow (3am) we are suppose to be getting ice. It will start snowing on Saturday and then snow through Monday. I am beyond excited, except for the ice. How cool would that be if my last day at work was spent at home. Very cool.
I am officially sad and nervous about tomorrow. I pray it will all work out.

Looks like a fun evening. :) I'll be thinking of you tomorrow on your last day. Keep your eye on the ball - all the rest and relaxation you can handle for a few months. Sounds like heaven!!
I hope you get a TON of snow! I know that, like me, you love the stuff. Build mea snowwoman, will ya? :)
Snow, yes, but NOT ICE!!! You know what happens! I don't want my poor empty house to freeze all by itself! If you guys need the fireplace, let yourselves in, but let the realtor know. We're headed for a storm, too, but I think we are just having rain with some snow in the higher elevations.
It's gonna work out. You know it will. Don't sweat it. :-)
I can't wait for Elise to be old enough for that T-Rex restaurant! Right now, the Rainforest Cafe scares her a little, so I think she'd be pretty freaked by dinosaurs.
Bundle up with some tea or something, and enjoy your job-free weekend in the snow.
Honey I know today will work out just fine for you. All negative karma has come my way this a.m. :)
Thanks for the pic of the KC Speedway! That restaurant sounds very neat. Like Chuck E Cheese for grown-ups. And tell Laura I would kill for her hair. She is never to cut it. Never. :)
P.S. It will be in the mid 70-s here this week-end. I'm jealous of the snow though.
casey--it was a very fun evening. i am also hoping for a lot of snow, but it looks like we will get more ice then snow.
lynilu--thanks so much for the offer of the fireplace in case we lose power. if that happens we may have to camp out at your house.
any--i can only imagine little kids loving TREX. Laura's 9 year old nephew was still a little scared of Rainforest a year ago. it is so overwhelming for kids i think
patti--it is exactly like chucke cheese for adults. very fun.
It will work out. Know how I know? It always does.
Laura, don't cut your hair, I second that!!!
Happy New Beginnings Caroline - a door closes, another one opens.
ragged--as always, wonderfully put
sandra--thanks for telling laura not to cut her hair. i am not sure what she was thinking. i LOVE her hair the way it is.
Sounds like so much fun!!!
Laura, you look so adorable! I say leave the hair the way it is!
Caroline, I think the "before" picture is a great picture of you. Hey, how is the day going? Hope the weather is not too bad right now and that you can get home safely.
It's going to be a great period of discovery for you starting at 5:01 p.m.! :)
We love this place. Have you eaten in the restaurant yet inside Dave and Busters. Yummy hamburgers. Love the games and being able to drink as you play. How cool is that. The Legends is on fire in building like crazy. Its like a whole new town out there.
