Weather Forecast

Living in Kansas City can be very interesting at times...weather wise. You never know what the weather is going to do. For example: On Saturday it was in the mid-70's and very humid. It almost felt like it was spring. And it was so freaking windy. You would think sometimes that we live in Chicago because of how windy it is. Well, by Saturday night we had noticed that the temp had started to drop. Today, the high was in the low 50's. (maybe) I watch the news tonight and they are calling for snow tomorrow. WHAT???? They say it's just a small chance, but it will be cold enough for snow. When was fall? We went from warm temps to freezing temps literally overnight.

I would love to be a forecaster in Kansas City. You never have to be right. So, as I see it, you can continue to be wrong at work, and it just doesn't matter. There have been times when they have called for an inch or so of snow and we end up with 10 inches of snow. The day before Thanksgiving last year they didn't say anything about snow. We wake up on that Wednesday and there was 9 inches of snow on the ground. Now, I love snow, but I would like some warning so I can prepare. Because you see, people in KC, do now know how to drive, let alone drive when there is snow on the ground.

So, tonight they are calling for a "chance" of snow. This means either two things:
1) We will get 10 inches of snow
2) It will be sunny with temps in the 90's.

One thing I have learned about the weather in KC having lived here my entire life. If you don't like the weather that is currently outside: wait just 10 minutes and it will change.

It was snowing prety good for a while, but the ground was too warm for it to stick. And it has pretty much stopped for now. (hopefully)

It's not too accurate down here in Dallas/Ft.Worth either. God forbid it should snow anywhere near these yokels.
Just one weather forecaster, David Finfrock on Ch 5 , seems to ever get it right.
I think it's because he's the only one who has a window in his office.
