Just a clarification from my post from yesterday. My intentions were never to quit blogging. I just had to figure out what to do so certain people would not have as much access to me as they had. Blogging is now part of me and I can't imagine blogging not being a part of my life.

I am not sure that changing your address is going to accomplish you goal of leaving those hurtful assholes in the dust.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry you are being bullied, and worse, bullied by your family. I was bullied for a long time by an ex-GF, and it was some of the worst abuse imaginable. Some people just thrive on bullying, and your brother is that kind of person. The best response is to ignore it. It took me forever to figure that out--I always wanted to lash back, but I learned the hard way the bullies will stop at nothing and they will push any and all buttons to get a reaction out of you.

ReplyDeleteOne thing that occurs to me is that we can choose our family of origin, but we can create a new (and sometimes better) family for ourselves. It really seems like you're doing that, and I admire you for it, because it doesn't seem easy. I'm sorry your family of origin is giving you such a hard time. Perhaps as you continue to make your own family (furry and non-), your family of origin will lose interest in directing their negative energy toward you.
