Like many other tragedies, in some ways it seems like yesterday and in other ways it seems much longer than twelve years. What a beautiful memorial, though.

I remember that day well and I agree with Sassyfemme; in some ways, it was yesterday and in other ways so much longer ago. 12 years - we had just gotten back from our honeymoon in Hawaii and the next day, this happened.

Incredibly heartbreaking.

What a world we live in. It can be brutally ugly at times and breath-takingly beautiful other times. Happy Wednesday to you!

When you think back and then look at the events at VT this week. Unbelieveable.

There's always going to be crazies out there. But there's alot of beauty and compassion too. Great Wordless, here's my Wordless post over at High Strangeness Altoona. the memorial is very peaceful. I can't believe it's been 12 years.

I remember visiting before the memorial was built--when the fence served as a temporary memorial. What a tragecy. And the tragedies continue. . .
Thank you for sharing the peaceful pictures. It is a beautiful memorial.

Such events just never heal, do they? I will never understand the kind of crazies whot do these things. :'(

I was living in Stillwater when this happened, and it shook the windows in my house so much that my sister who is mostly deaf asked what it was.

I can't believe it's been 12 years. I was a sophomore in high school.

I've spent so much time at the memorial, just thinking about that time. I remember that fence too. So very sad.

This week is not a good one in our country's history.
