I've just spent a while reading back thru your posts, and I wanted to say that I'm still proud of you for being who you are after the long and difficult journey you've made to this point.
There are gnats in all our lives. I find it interesting that someone who is concerned about the "big issues" in human rights has time to read blogs such as yours. Why aren't those people traveling to those hot spots to solve the world's trouble? Hmmm. Perhaps they are just talk, no do.
Thru education in our field (social work) you and I understand that whatever is hurting you (or me) at this moment is a problem. Sometimes my problem is like a small piece of gravel in my shoe which hurts with every step I take, but IT HURTS, none the less. Other times, I am able to function with incredible pain (let's say emotional pain of losing a loved one or having a friend disrespect me) and those who know me say, "I don't know how you continue with this pain." Doesn't matter . . . pain hurts.
You, and only you, not even Laura, know what is painful to you. Don't back down (as if that would happen!!), because, just as only you know the pain, only you can make your life complete. If ya wanna bitch, go for it! And let the gnats blow hot air. Remember gnats have short lives. They apparently feel that they need to make themselves know by being pesky. No one ever died because of a gnat.
